Dr. Hansen is a board-certified general surgeon and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He received his BS in Chemistry from Utah State University. In 1992 he graduated from Tulane Medical School in New Orleans, LA. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis in 1997.

Dr. Hansen practiced in Sikeston, MO for 5 years before moving to Rexburg, ID in 2002 where he started his private General Surgery Practice.

Dr. Max Hansen is a board-certified general surgeon. Max graduated from the University of Des Moines Medical School in Des Moines, IA. He completed his General Surgery residency through the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND in June of 2022, with an emphasis on rural surgery.

Max and his wife Sarah have 3 young girls. As a family they enjoy being outdoors and are excited to be back in South East Idaho.

Office Manager

Jolene does the administrative duties in the office and spends much of her time on the phone working with insurance companies. She enjoys scuba diving, snow and water skiing, and visiting her grandkids.

Medical Assistant

Marilyn’s organizational skills keep Dr. Hansen and the back office running smoothly. She has a painless blood draw technique that only requires one needle stick. Marilyn enjoys running, talon rides with her husband, and playing with her grandkids

Receptionist – Surgical Scheduling and Insurance Specialist

Shaylee will never forget your name, appointment information, surgical procedure, or surgery date. She and her husband enjoy fly fishing, snow skiing, and water sports. Her favorite food is gas station hot dogs. Feel free to bring her one. She may ask for some ice cream to go with it.

Receptionist -New Patient Coordinator

Kacee’s middle or second name should be “SWEET”. We thought maybe it was because she ate so much sugar, but she prefers salt to sugar, so she truly is sweet from the inside out. She enjoys riding her side by side with her husband, and spending time with her dogs.
